A group of people who are typically considered nerdy because they enjoy learning and do not adhere to social norms. Although the group does not fit the prototypical definition of "being cool", however, they carry themselves in a bold and confident manner as trendsetters.

Swaggy nerds do not care what other people think.

Nerd's Rant

A phenomena in which a nerd enters a state of mind, in which they can no longer keep their thoughts in and decide to go to an open forum, a blog or anything similar and write out their thoughts, even though to most of the audience reading those thoughts will not be able to understand what they're ranting about clearly, usually it results in a jumbled wall of text and contradictions. These thoughts are only relevant to the nerd, even if you understand them.

"I'm unsure if I should get this processor, it'll boost my GHZ to 4.6, but I could just as easily buy this other processor that will only put it to 3.2 but will work better with this motherboard I'm looking at." - Rough Example of a Nerd's Rant.

tooth nerd

- One who is very thorough in regards to dental hygiene, and often brags about their cleanliness.

- One who flosses after every meal, and carries an oral kit with them at all times.

- One who actually brushes their teeth on long airplane rides.

- One who thinks their new toothpaste is ineffective and that this is the cause of their morning breath.

Nerd Bow

The strange sweaty smell nerds produce. Most people will notice "Nerd Bow" when they enter computer rooms, internet gaming cafes and often while entering computer game shops or Games Workshop stores.

Can only be described as a high pitched smell that offends the nasal cavity of regular human beings. can often be mistaken for ball sweat.

nerd rain

The phenomenon where a significant population of nerds begin sweating at a conference with an intensity so strong that the heat from the room evaporates the nerdy sweat and condensates the abominable liquid at the roof of the conference, resulting in a roof showering the conference goers with an odoriferous acid rain.

Comic con is not liable for diseases contracted from nerd rain during this session.

Nerd School

A college which primarily concentrates on teaching science, technology, engineering, and math. Noted for their high acceptance standards, high fail-out and drop-out rates, dearth of female students, and copious consumption of alcohol by students (and professors).

A good indicator of a nerd school is that its name includes the word "Tech". For example: Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Cal Tech, Rensselaer PolyTECHnic, Worcester PolyTECHnic, Massachusetts Institute of TECHnology.
