friend zone virgin

Someone who has never experienced the "friend zone" treatment from someone of the opposite sex, and is therefore ignorant to all aspects of the friend zone, and what comes with it.

Dude 1 a.k.a Friend Zone Virgin: Yo, that girl that ran up to you at the football game and hugged you, you tappin that?

Dude 2: Nah, I'm just friends with her, have been for a while.

Dude 1: WHY NOT DUDE?!?!

Dude 2: I asked for her phone number a while back so we could "hang out" and she wouldn't give it to me. I think it's what she had been planning all along, I should have realized it when she wanted to bring friends when we went to the movies...

Dude 1: I don't get it, she talks to you all the time, she obviously wants you!

convenience friend

A person who is only around when it is easy and convenient for them. They are the people who, if not placed around us, (ex. dorm rooms), all the time, they wouldn't really be friends. They are usually used to do things for you, if you need a ride to and from school, etc. They are basically friends who need you around when they need a favor, or when they are just so bored out of their minds that they would rather hang out with you than sit around all day, but they'd never put you first.

Alice lives down the street.
You: Hey what are you doing today? Want to stop by?
Alice: Sure! I'd love to hang out.

Alice lives 10 miles away, and is sitting at home watching Judge Judy reruns all days.

You: Hey what are you doing today? Want to stop by?
Alice: Oh, no, I'm really busy. Maybe some other time.

* You don't hear from Alice again.

Elena and Becky, Becky is a convenience friend.

Elena: Hey Beck, think you can give me a ride home tomorrow?
Becky: Sure, want to hang out afterwards?
Elena: I would but I have homework to do.

Twenty minutes later, Becky sees Elena going to the movies with Maggie.

Friendish

An annoying person who classifies themselves as your "Friend" A Friendish is normally in the same school, work and other things you are forced to interact with randomers.

Friendish: Hey how are you? Want to play Chess or Knights and Dragons or any other exciting games?
Me: I can't I have to go to the shops.
Friendish: Really you just went to the shops.
Me: How do you know?
Friendish: I decided to moniter your shopping habits.

Me: OK Bye Stalker.

Real Friend: Who was that?
Me: My Friendish.

Real Friend: Stalking you again?
Me: Yes.

Friends with Costs

The opposite of friends with benefits, friends with costs incur a negative benefit (a cost) on whoever they are friends with. This could include bothering you from time to time for favours or money.

Suman: Cynthia, can you please pick up a bottle of vodka for me and bring it to my house? I promise I will pay you back some day.

Cynthia (aside): I wasn't even headed to Suman's house... Now that's what I call being friends with costs...

Best Friend Syndrome

When you're really close with a member of the opposite sex and would like to date them but they refuse to date you because you are too close and they wouldn't want to make anything awkward between the two of you if the relationship didn't last.

You have best friend syndrome if...
1) You hang out with the person of your dreams more often then your friends. But ARE NOT dating.
2) They ask you to take them to an STD test or a gynecologist appointment. Or go with them as moral support to get Plan B (even though you weren't the one to have sex with her)
3) Other acts that a boy friend/girlfriend would do minus the sexual benefits, emotional attachments and etc.

Mother: So hows Andrew doing? I'm sure hes not too happy you dumped him for Josh.
Daughter: Are you kidding?! We were never dating, he just had a bad case of Best Friend Syndrome.
