Pulling an Anthony

In the Guatemalan English-speaking community, "pulling an Anthony" means that you've just entered an ill-advised long-distance relationship with a traveller that you barely know, but that you have an extremely strong connection to, and then you make long term plans to meet each other in different countries while not really setting in stone any actual relationship goals.

The term's named after a young man who's made a habit of doing this over the past couple of years.

"Hey, Juan. What have you been up to?"
"Well, I've been pulling an Anthony..."
"Oh, dang. What's her name and when are you leaving?"
