A person from Random Town, USA thousands of miles away that just happens to be a "fan" of historically successful and popular teams. This person has no ties to the city or state the team calls home and never will have any experience with real fans of the team at local events, home games, etc.
The local real fans from the area of the team dont even take these people serious, so they're "fans" of a team whose real fanbase doesnt even acknowledge them and considers them a joke.

I live in Willacoochee, Georgia. I've barely even been outside of my state before, but I'm a bandwagon fan of teams like the Cowboys/Packers/Steelers/Patriots/Yankees/Golden State/Cavs because they are popular.

A term originating from China for a new fan-idol relationship that is being seen. It is a fan who has gone beyond a parasocial relationship, where fans have stepped up from merely worshipping the idols to feeling (whether true or not) that they are co-cultivating their idols, including their public images, the scope of their work, and even their personal lives.
Many of these fans can become entitled and toxic if the subject of their focus doesn't act in accordance to their desires, expectations, and beliefs they've built around them, or if they are not provided with content they feel entitled to by the person they "helped co-create".

They stopped streaming to take a break for a couple weeks and already the parakin fans are demanding that they are owed new content and threatening to cancel their subscriptions/memberships.

When a character has no real importance to a story anymore or any arc to complete, yet can't die due to current/future fan service.

commonly used for people who do not have any respect for their idol’s privacy and would go any lengths to prove their idol’s whereabouts and their own point right even if it means leaking their idol’s address even when you know they have faced something traumatic a few months back.
