THIS HAS BECOME A WIDESPREAD JOKE AND GROWN TO BE A REFERENCE TO ANY TIME YOU MISUNDERSTAND A JOKE OR ARE THE LAST ONE TO REALIZE SOMETHING OBVIOUS.
