Panic tetris

When you're done paying for a full cart of groceries and have to put everything back in the cart again in a way so it fits and you have to do it fast because there's a big line waiting behind you .

parachute pals

Friends who can be counted on to "catch you as you fall" and/or "ease your descent" --- i.e., they'll always "be there for you" during times of emotional distress, offer helpful ideas/cautions, etc.

Anytime an on-line "friend" whom I have not met yet (and therefore I cannot be sure if that person is reliable or "for real") invites/requests/allows me to go and meet him somewhere, I always peruse the map to see if any of my "parachute pals" happen to live in that same general area, and if so, I call them up first to ask if I may make a "secondary journey" over to visit them for a while if the person whom I was going to meet during my "primary mission" is either a no-show or not sociable/reasonable to me... it helps make the trip not be a total waste of time and travel-expenses, plus I'll have a shoulder to cry on and soothe me in my humiliation and disappointment at my failed attempt to cultivate a new friendship.

panic parkour

1) a phrase describing the adrenaline-fueled parkour champion-like moves no one, including you, ever knew you had, in an emergency situation. For instance:

Picture, if you will, an indoor play structure at a nursery school/day care. I'd wondered before how the grown ups were supposed to get in there if there was ever a kid inside that needed help. Then one day, one of the tiny tots bit another one real good, right inside the play structure.
I moved so fast that before I knew it I was inside the stupid thing with a screaming toddler in my arms, and no clear recollection of how I'd gotten there. I have a vague recollection of backing into it, somehow. The other toddler looked me dead in the eye and told me, very confidentially, "I bite."
YES, I THINK WE'VE ESTABLISHED THAT

2) possible reference to "Panic Parkour", a set of hott trax laid down by Urban Action, Dubstep & Chill

I don't like extreme sports or cross fit. However, show me a kid or animal in danger and my panic parkour moves will inspire awe.
