Through her lens she was greatness and the best a male could be was good or okay/mediocre (if he was even good enough to be unremarkable, and to her that was unlikely). The fucked up thing was she expected these males to reach a bar she set at remarkable, though she knew that that was no such thing as a remarkable male viewed through her lens, because the bar would always get moved out of reach if any male tried to get close to it or run through a wall for her to knock the bar off what it was mounted to.
