Chew Ride

An event originated and celebrated often by the chew crew of Phillipsburg, NJ. Skoaldiers are assembled and proceed to pack only the best kinds of chew, Skoal Straight and the occasional Skoal Mint. They drive around as long as they need to, talking about...well...chew and life...because outside of those two things nothing else really matters. The end of the chew ride usually results in some type of Halo or alcoholic consumption...or another chew ride.

Once everyone was in the car we packed our cans, threw in hammers, and the chew ride began.

chew bubblegum and kick ass

A phrase that someone uses to warn his surroundings about violence that is about to happen. First used in the 1988 movie "They Live". Later used by Duke Nukem, phrased slightly different as: "It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum... and I'm all out of gum."

chew the fat

It is a verb, used in general conversation, in informal conversation. It refers to the act of talking, often rubbish, merely to pass time.

It draws its meaning from the drawn out process of chewing fat from a steak, as it is often a pleasurable experience since it tastes amazing, but also takes up time.

"The bus doesn't come for two hours."

"I guess we'll just chew the fat then."
