the "pits" is having killed all the veins in your arms as a junkie, and having to shoot in the arm pits for a fresh vein. ouch! it's an old underground term.

n. - An area for graffiti artists and writers to practice their graffiti. Pits are usually abandoned buildings or washes where it isn't frequented by too many people, allowing writers to practice at peace. (For the most part: i.e. beef with other writers and occasional police call)
