F1 is the best of the best in open wheel racing.. founded in 1950 at Silverstone. it has quickly grown to be the worlds second most popular form of auto racing (just behind the WRC which is the first) and is very much like the English Premier League of Auto Racing... the cars these days aren't as fast as their counterparts in the IRL (Indy Racing League) but what they lack in speed they make up for with spot on turning and acceleration, the season starts in Melbourne Australia and usually ends at an Asian Track... most recently Fuji Japan
they used to race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway infield road course, but due to the tracks layout and the lack of seats on the infield the FIA suspended all racing there indefinitely, there are rumors of Formula 1 going to Elk Hart Lake Wisconsin at the Road America Circuit... but that is strictly a rumor... as an American it really pisses me off when people who are clearly British say we know nothing about Formula 1, and that we're all centered around NASCAR... not true my European friends every year i make the 500 mile commute to Montreal to watch the Canadian GP I've been a fan long enough to watch the great Ayrton Senna race. and i was alive to see him die...

To solve using the Quadratic Formula:
In any equation
ax^2+bx+c,
The roots can be found by substituting into:
-b(+,-)sqrt(b^2-4ac)/2a
OR
Negative "B" plus or minus the square root of "B" squared minus 4(a)(c), all divided by 2(a).
