Destinationist

A person or family on vacation so focused on itinerary or the actual destination that they become oblivious to anything on the way or outside of the actual destination.

A vacationist that doesn't take time to relax or involve himself with other activities outside of his actual destination.

A person that refuses to patronize anyone or anyplace besides common franchises or corporations.

Bob and his family are such destinationists. They totally missed out on all the great scenery on their trip to Santa Monica. They should have taken Route 66.

Similar to a destination wedding, it is a place picked by the birthday boy/girl that requires their guests to give up their week, their income and their lives...for the sole purpose of showering the Birthday boy/girl with inappropriate praise.
