This popularity has led it to because one of the most hated/loved Pokemon in the community, as the people who love it usually use its design as a reason for their love. People who hate Charizard usually use the fact that Game Freak could be giving attention to underrated Pokemon whom are more interesting, (i.e. Castform, Keckleon, etc.). This issue has divided the community's view on Charizard, which has led it to be one of the most argued over Pokemon.
