Turnism sufferers find it very difficult to meet new people or date, as they often turn their back on the other person within seconds of the first meeting. Turnism sufferers cannot look themselves in the eye, and are very uncomfortable around mirrors. Turnism sufferers, like to eat alone, and will take food to a private place, like a toilet cubicle or broom cupboard. Acute symptoms of Turnism, will lead sufferers to turn their IDs back to front in their wallet and even request to face downwards in their coffin upon their death; which typically occurs through a road traffic accident.

He is the leader of the Alex Turnerist group, with his followers (the Turnerers) being the legendary Matt Helders, Jamie Cook, Nick O'Malley, and Miles Kane. They are mentioned in the book Cornerstone, which is currently being stored at the Heartbreak Hotel on Last Laugh Lane. That book contains testament 505, which says "All life must be devoted to Alex Turner." We believe that all people look good on the dance floor and that love is a laser quest.
