Africas largest country, a civil war for 22 years, peace came in 2005 for 22 days until rebel leader John Garang (R.I.P) from southern Sudan died in a plane crash (some say he was murderd). Sudan is rich with petrol and uranium but the goverment takes all that money letting the public poor, im from Sudan im 17 years old i was born n lived all my life in London like my whole family, but i go to Sudan every year because its my mother land roots. It has great marijuana and wild life (trust me), but dont bother going as a forigner (especially now) because war and all the trouble. Still a beautifull country the heart of Africa. 1

A country in serious trouble because of a long civil war which has developed into a Genocide by the janjaweed. Over 300,000 have died and more die each month...over a million are homeless...they are fleeing to neighboring Chad. They need help, the UN should send troops.

Sudan isn't the same as Iraq because Iraq wasn't in the middle of a genocide...don't let Sudan be another Rwanda!

It has endured a long civil war between the Arabs of the north and the Black Africans of the south and west, which has resulted in genocide, rape, slavery and other atrocities. The name is Arabic for 'black people'.

Sudan is the Mississippi of the Middle East.

The largest country in Africa. Sudan is rich with various ethnicities and religions. People like to say that the civil war in Sudan is caused by racism. It has nothing to do with races, you'll find different ethnicities on both sides of the war. It's just a movement against the current government. Sudan remains strong, and sudanese people remain proud.

Don't send your troops to my country and "free" Sudan and turn it into another Iraq, you'll just make matters worse. Stay the fuck out :)

As a country, they exist. All they do is exist. In terms of name, Sudan usually are kind, intelligent, humble and down to earth people.

There's a guy named Sudan in my class and he is so sweet.
