Chess Alzheimer's

When you're playing chess and you take so long thinking about what move you're going to make that you end up making an idiotic move you spotted in the first 5 seconds but forgot about later on.

During a game of chess, after thinking about his move for 20 minutes ...

Ryan: Ah ha! Eat that! You have been had my friend.
(Jon swoops in and takes Ryan's queen)
Ryan: (Gasp)
Jon: Looks like the ol' Chess Alzheimer's got you again. Checkmate, fool.
Ryan: (Tears up)
Jon: It's okay man. Let's go watch Upstream Color. It'll cheer you up.
Ryan: No thanks, I like stories that are actually good. You know, with a beginning, middle, and end. Fuck that $hit. I'm going to play Halo. (flips chess board and leaves with dignity)

St. Andrew's Cross

A cross in the form of an "x" (i.e. the flag of Scotland) used in bondage situations. The subject is attached spread-eagled to the cross, and subsequently tortured.

Tivadar's Cross

The cross used for an uncommon form of crucifixion. Rarely seen in any period in history other than the Middle Ages, and even then it was uncommon. The form for the Cross is not actually a cross at all. Rather, it is a square shape, modified depending on the height of the person being crucified. Within the square are three beams. One is horizontal, and goes directly across the middle of the square. The other two are placed diagonally, forming an “X” shape. The victim is placed spread eagle on the Cross, and his arms and legs are nailed onto the beams. A long, usually wood, pole is beneath the Cross, which allows a person or persons to carry the Cross around with them, displaying the victim around the place where he was being executed. The victim was still alive as the people were hauling him across town, and other citizens were allowed to spit, insult, and otherwise degrade the offender. The normal cause of death, just as in normal crucifixion, was suffocation.

Being nailed to Tivadar's Cross is one of the most humiliating forms of capital punishment known to man.

king's cross

A grimy drug-infested area of London. It has been majorly cleaned up but it's still not that good.

When you walk out of King's Cross station you are immediately confronted by a bunch of drugged-up homeless and nasty looking teenagers wanting drugs or to sell you drugs.
