tachlis

A term used by Israelis, which is used when someone wants to quickly (and often very bluntly) get to the point. Tachlis is all about efficiency and getting to the best solution or the point as quickly as possible, without concern for feelings or flowery language.

"I saw the report you sent out, tachlis, I think you missed the point. You should redo it."
"I met a nice guy the other night... tachlis, I'm pregnant, what do I do?"

Tachlis is the Israeli one-word synonym for "Cut the crap", "Stop beating around the bush", "Get to the point". Practically it means "Let's get down to business". A straightforward, down to earth expression without any magniloquence

It's all nice and beautiful, but tachlis now, just do it!

A very technical conversation in English. Difficult to understand. Also, a form of techno-speak.

That techno-geek was speaking Techlish. I couldn't undestand a word.

Similar to a checklist, but this list contains tech considerations only.

I've gone through Techlist for the event and we are good to go!
