Topomax is the misspelling of the prescription drug, Topamax (Topiramate). It is an anticonvulsant and anti-seizure medication that, in stronger doses us used to control epilepsy. In smaller amounts prescribed under the brand name Topamax, it is used to help control severe migraines in both frequency and severity.
I use to get migraines two to three days a week until I began taking Topomax/Topamax. Now I hardly ever get them.
Brand name of topiramate. Topamax is an anticonvulsant known for causing anomia, memory loss, and general stupidity. Therefore also called 'dopamax'.
Like many other anticonvulsants, Topamax is often used as a mood stabilizer. Appetite suppression is a common side-effect, so it is sometimes prescribed to encourageweight loss.
NOT spelled 'topomax' and NOT an antipsychotic.
"The Topamax was working great for my mood swings, but I had to go off it because it was totally wiping my memory."
