A thin cake, made of meal baked a light brown on the outside, cream coloured on the inside. Will keep sweet for many days if unbroken and left in original leaf wrappings, and extremely nourishing to the effect that one cake would keep a traveller on his feet for a day of long labour. Called "waybread" by elves.

Lemasi was also a world renowned chemist and had a history of fixing pencil sharpeners.
