Campeche Mexico

Campeche Mexico - Located in southeast Mexico, it is bordered by the mexican states of Tabasco to the southwest, Yucatán to the northeast, Quintana Roo to the east, and by the Country of Guatemala to the south. It has a coastline to the west with the Gulf of Mexico. The state capital, also called Campeche, was declared a World Heritage Site in 1997. The formation of the state began with the city, which was founded in 1540 as the Spanish began the conquest of the Yucatán Peninsula. The city was a rich and important port during the colonial period, but it declined after Mexico's independence. Campeche was part of the province of Yucatán but split off in the mid-19th century, mostly due to political friction with the city of Mérida.
Much of Campeche mexico state's recent economic revival is due to the discovery of petroleum offshore in the 1970s,

The name of Campeche is derived from the Maya name of a settlement called “Ah-Kin-Pech” where the city of Campeche is now. When the Spanish first arrived to the area in 1517, they called it Lazaro, since "the day of our landing was St. Lazarus' Sunday". The native name means “place of snakes and ticks.”

Catholic catechism

A Catholic supplement to the Bible. Despite the fact that many Catholics (and Christians for that matter) rarely read the Bible, much less the catechism, BOTH books are incredibly important to understanding the Catholic faith.

It is analogous to reading the Tanakh, the Mishna, and the Talmud - which is what studious, ambitious, pious Jews do to develop their faith and be better Jews.

Similarly, reading and understanding the Bible AND the Catechism of the Catholic Church will strengthen the faith of Catholics.
All Catholics should be knowledgeable in three things: the Bible, the Catholic Catechism, and Sacred Tradition.

These three things will take us far.

A technical institution in California. Like most American technical institutes it is known for a socially inept student body, disproportionate number of geeks, and an inculcated belief in superiority over the other institutes (e.g. Georgia Tech, MIT, etc). It does have better weather than MIT.
Socially Inept Geek 1: I go to Caltech. Want to solve some PDEs together?

Socially Inept Geek 2: Yeah! I love solving PDEs! Oh wait... I go to MIT. Yeah, I am going to have to attempt murder you.

MIT's more sober and hardcore brother. Though MIT thinks it's too cool for Caltech and its students can hide behind its prestige, Caltech remains legitimately superior in the maths and sciences without having to resort to mass substance abuse.
