If a song you like makes heavy rotation, you'll hate it in two weeks or less. If a song you hate makes heavy rotation, you'll want to pull your brain out through your ears. Changing the station won't help, since every format radio station across the continent plays the same friggin' 15 songs in heavy rotation.

Heavy rock
Heavy rock is a genre that is lighter than metal, yet harder than rock and does not fall into other metal catagories such as alt metal or nu metal. It sometimes has "alternative" rock overtones.
Bands that would be considered heavy rock would be Sevendust, Dark New day etc. The term heavy rock is generally used for more modern hard rock bands, where as hard rock is used for older bands such as Scorpions, AC/DC etc.
