The Europan hookmouth is a
secondary consumer commonly found swimming near hydrothermal hotspots
in the depths of Jupiter's Europa. Reaching lengths of up to 6 feet,
the creature probes into the gaps in the rocky vents with a keratinous beak, reinforced to withstand the extreme temperatures. In periods of rest it uses its claspers to cling onto the vents, due to the variable amount of vents produced by tidal heating, the creature builds up a large adipose reserve on its back for long travels. Primary consists of pseudocrustaceans.
