Cherry-Ash 

Putting your cigarette out half-way in hopes to smoke the other end. This usually done by flicking the "cherry" out.

I was smoking a cigarette and only wanted half it, so I decided to cherry-ash it.

I can only handle smoking half of a cigarette so usually I cherry-ash it halfway through.
