The word finna came from the word "fixing to" but it is used a lot of the time by people who are black and it means "going to." An easier way is also just "bouta" like "about to." Ex. "I'm finna go get hype" can also be replaced with "I'm bouta go get hype."
Modern use--"yo Josh I'm finna go get hype at the club, wanna come?"
Meaning--"hey Josh, I'm about to go get hype at the club, wanna come?"
