total liberation

Total liberation is a political concept which takes anarchism, anti-capitalism, intersectional feminism, animal liberation, anti-colonialism, and earth liberation (or social ecology); combining each of these movements into one struggle through the construction of a hierarchy-analysis which highlights the parallels between all of the different forms of domination and oppression which these movements oppose. Common examples of structural hierarchies which are identified by total liberationists include the state, capitalism, cisheteropatriarchy, white supremacy, ableism, colonialism/imperialism, and speciesism or anthropocentrism. Proponents of total liberation typically advocate for veganism and creating political change through direct action.
Jesus: yo I listened to this totally sweet talk on total liberation online, it seems pretty intriguing, and I think this approach to politics is really insightful!
Buddha: yo total liberation? that's totally my jam!

Rooftops (a liberation broadcast)

Rooftops is a single by Welsh band lostprophets, which was released in the United Kingdom on June 19, 2006.

The first airing of the single in the UK recently was in front of 25,000 fans when the lostprophets headlined the Give It a Name festival in Manchester and London.

The song is taken from the number one album Liberation Transmission and was recorded in Hawaii. The b-sides found on the single came from the same sessions - all of which are brand new tracks. The video was filmed on location in Los Angeles, USA and was co-directed by the band and Ryan Smith (of Story of the Year).

Trivia:
When the band pitched their dream video for "Rooftops (A Liberation Broadcast)" to their record label, it was refused because it would have cost 8 million pounds to produce. It subsequently went through several re-drafts before they settled on the final version.
The chorus of "Rooftops (A Liberation Broadcast)" was inspired by the scene in the film Garden State where the characters are screaming into a pit. The general theme of the song also matches the film's — "make a mark" in your life while there's still time.
