A term used by fascists who believe they're of a higher moral standing when someone makes a factual statement.

Jimbo: He should have just complied.
Bob: So you believe govt employees should be able to tell you what to do and punish you if you dont comply?
Jimbo: Not a chance in hell. I will not comply to the govt. I'll be damned if the govt tells me what to do.
Bob: You do know law enforcement is the govt. Buddy, that's virtue signaling.

To put on airs of being concerned about a social issue solely with the intent of flaunting your morals to the world.

Putting "BLM" in your Twitter bio does nothing to help people actually affected by such issues. It is mere virtue signaling.

Vice Signaling 

Vice-signaling is about being rude to the right persons, to the right extent, at the right time, with the right motive, and in the right way

Opposite — parading one’s moral superiority like taking the opportunity to demonstrate one’s decency outwardly. Example driving a Prius or wearing a mast during a pandemic.

Think of the toga party scene in Animal House. A young man with a guitar is wooing some girls with folk pap (“I gave my love a cherry that had no stone…”). Along comes John Belushi, who gives a little listen before grabbing the guitar and smashing it. The singer was virtue-signaling; Belushi was vice signaling

Simp Signaling 

When a person (usually a female) who is stuck up/snobby is encountered by a person that they don’t want around them for any reason (not attracted to/annoying/etc.) And the person is bothered by them, and she/he begins “Simp Signaling” the nearest Simp closest to them for help, even if their plea for help is unnecessary, and is usually resolves by telling the bothering person to go away, but instead decides to involve a Signaled Simp to resolve the situation with the unwanted person. “Leave her alone man! She doesn’t like you!!.”

The preppy cheerleader chick was Simp Signaling one of the party simps to tell the brave band geek who was indirectly invited to the party to leave her alone, because he tried to flirt with her.

Vice Signaling 

The opposite of Virtue Signaling. Instead of boasting about good thoughts and deeds, they brag about bad ones.

People may Vice Signal as a means to seem cool and edgy. Functioning as a “pick me” technique in conversations. It may also be used to one-up another persons statement.

“This baby doesn’t like me… it’s ok, I used to be a piece of shit. I’m not worried about it though, I don’t give a shit!”

“Oh you wake up at 5am? Hahaha, I’m never up earlier than 10am. Loser”

“Yeah I’ve done 10x whatever drug was just mentioned it was craaaayyyyzzzzyy”
