Someone (who goes to your school) that pops pills, gets into fights, and all around is a nuisance to your school. Another prerequisite for being a shanty is that you must hang out with other shantys almost exclusively.

Sea Shanty 

1. A traditional work song aboard 17th-19th century sailing vessels. Often a call-and-response song, used to keep all the sailors' motions in time while performing tasks and spirits high.

2. After the early 2021 TikTok 'Sea Shanty' craze, the term began to be applied more broadly to acapella folk music with maritime themes evocative of traditional sea shanties (see: the Wellerman) and even more broadly to all folk music with maritime lyrics/themes. While these are not true shanties, the name has seemed to stick among zoomers.

A hastily assembled, often half-assed shelter. Hobos often live in shantys. Poor people in crappy countries often build entire shanty-towns. Pirates also make Shantys out of leaves, sticks and other things, on islands, to sleep in.

A poorly groomed male that is grosky and in desperate need of a shower. Not only is he poorly groomed but he has a nappy beard attached to his unhygentic face. He appears to be a dirty and mistreated Santa Claus, therefore recieving the name of a Shanty Claus
