A meal made of meats or spreads, generally placed between two slices of leaven grain product. (exception sometimes one slice of leaven grain product is used resulting in a open faced sammich.

The term simply means sandwich. Originating in the southeastern states of the U.S. the term is representative of a pervasively localized regional dialect. Other cross-over examples from this dialect include: fifty-leven, ho, and stank.

An exhausted southern mother to her son:

Boy, leave me alone and go make you a may-nayse (mayonnaise) sammich.

N.B. other sammich varieties include: pork & bean, jelly, pork chop, egg, butter (i.e. margarine), sugar, and collard green.

1. A sandwich that is extremely good.

2. What a Southerner calls a sandwich.

Honey-baked ham, roast beef, American AND Swiss cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, and mustard on French bread! Down here, we calls this a sammich!

Sammich 

A Sammich is more then just meat between bread... it is a feast of epic proportions... It is not something I could trust ladies to make... for they are far too lovely and delicate to understand the construction effort required... This Feast must be prepared by the kind of man who Feeds Armies, or Slaughters them!

I would let a lady make me a Sandwich, but a Sammich, of Epic proportions can only be made By a True Warrior... rather then use a knife to cut it, He shall slice it in half with a Bastard Sword still soaked in the blood of Enemies he had driven before him, while letting out a mighty Roar!

Hot Damn.... That Sammich was incredible...
