2000s kid

A person born either in the late 90s or mid 2000s (1995-2004) who spent their childhood years in the 2000s. Your childhood is not just from 3 to 12. This also applies to those who spent most of their teen years in the 2000s.

2000s kids born in 1995 -1997 typically try to claim being a 90s kid but do not count as they were not old enough to remember anything or just started gaining the ability to remeber by the end of the decade and many of their informative and impactful years happened on the 2000s. People born in 98 and 99 are automatically 2000s kids and have no seat on the 90s council for obvious reasons (being a newborn or infant).

Depending on when a 2000s kid is born, they can be both a 2000s kid and a 2010s kid and their formulative years stretch over both decades. This typically extends to people born in 98-2004, but can also extend to people who were older teens in the early 2010s (ex: 16 in 2012; born in 96).

Many 2000s kids have never had a world without the internet or a phone. Many of their first phone were flip or touch screen smartphone. 2000s kids had the best reminisce of the 90s and the best eras of all the kid networks as well as peak of tv options compared to children born in the late 2000s or 2010s that watch the Paul Brothers, Lele Pons and get nothing but reboots and live action movies of what the 2000s kids had the original of (also extends to some 90s kids media).

2000s kids are also a part of Generation Z (1995-2012).

Boy: Hey, do you remember Tamagotchi?

Girl: No, I dont know what that is? I had Pixel Chix and Webkinz!

Boy: Oh, when were you born? I was born in 89. I'm a 90s kid.

Girl: I was born in 97. I dont have any memories until like 2001 :/ I'm a 2000s kid.

Boy: Sorry you missed the best decade

Girl: I'm sorry your internet never worked

Honorary 2000s kid

Someone born in 2002/2003, who actually remembers the 2000s (and even spent some of their core childhood in the 2000s yet spent half or more of their childhood in the 2010s) unlike someone born in 2006 going like ''I WUS TREE IN 2009 IM A 2000Z KID'' even though they really wouldn't remember much of that decade if anything at all (while spending basically almost their entire childhood in the 2010s).

2006 born: "IM A HONERERY 2000Z KID''

2003 born: ''But weren't you like 3 when the 2000s ended? What could you possibly remember from the 2000s?''

2006 born: ''......''

2003 born: ''Yeah exactly. You see, childhood is 2/3-12. I spent half of my childhood in the 2000s, therefore I am an honorary 2000s kid. You, on the other hand, are a pure 2010s kid.''

2000s Kids are annoying idiots who trash on anyone who didn’t grow up in the 2000s. They basically are the younger Versions of 90s Kids.

A Conversation with a 2000s Kid would go like this

2000s Kid: “Wow you grew up in the 2010s wow your had the worst childhood ever!”

Some Kid: “Shut the Fuck Up You Had 9/11 and the 2008 Recession! The 2000s wasn’t a paradise.”

Wow 2000s Kids are so goddamn annoying! They hate on everything modern!

Early 2000s Kid 

Someone born from 1994-1998. Meaning they turned 5-9 before 2004. Generally these people are on the cusp of both Millennials (1994-1996) and Gen Z (1997-1998) and are confused what generation they fit in. Reason being that they experienced both cultural trends leftover of the 90's and new trends from the 2000's growing up. Another term for this group is called Zillenials

2000s 

The most recent past decade. First of the 21st century.

Usually pronounced "The Two Thousands" or "The Noughties". Though technically the decade ran from 2000-2009, the actual decade, like all decades, did not perfectly coincide with this. The 90s actually died in 2001 and the 2010s actually began in 2009 with the rise of Auto-tune and Justin Bieber.

Worst decade since the 1940s, and that's only because the world was almost blown to bits then. The '40s had a much cooler style and culture.

The 2000s were the first decade to embrace all the previous fashions and trends of the past decade (1990s), only to do it in a much lamer way.

Even in 2011, you still have kids who love South Park and Eminem, so in a way, the 2010s are just continuing to copy the 90s.

The 2000s were so void of original ideas, even the kids don't like them and we all were aching to return to the 20th century.

The decade of talentless rap, horrible whiny emo music, uber-boring Post-Grunge, relentless profanity, ugly tattoos, and trashy pop stars.

Thank God it's the 2010s.
