Derived from the original Star Trek televison series in which, on several occasions, Captain Kirk obviously bedded the hot woman who is never seen again. ...Alien chick in 60s go-go/hippy fashion apparel primping while Kirk pulls his Star-Fleet-issue black leather boots on.

"to die with your boots on" means that someone died in the middle of a fight or generally in the middle of a work-process.
It originates from the late 19th century, it was used to describe that a soldier died during battle.

"Die With Your Boots On" is also an Iron Maiden song about the same topic.

Person 1: Will you ever stop this madness? You need a brake from work!

Person 2: Only one more year...

Person 1: Oh you're totally gonna die with your boots on!
