Sherlockian

Someone who is in the fandom for the BBC show Sherlock. Often wild and nearly always brewing theories as to what will happen in season 3 and beyond, they love everything that has to do with Sherlock, The Swishy Coat, and The Purple Shirt of Sex. The favorite ship in the fandom is Johnlock (John Watson and Sherlock Holmes). After only 6 episodes of the show, they have made fan fictions and such to fulfill their needs for Sherlock Holmes.
Person: Hey, I've just heard of this British show called Sherlock. Know anything about it?

Sherlockian: KNOW ANYTHING?!?! I know EVERYTHING. Sherlock and John is just, yes. I can't wait for season 3! Want to read my new fanfic?

Sherlockian

noun (sher-lock-ee-an)

The name given to those who devote the majority of their abundant free time to ponder the intellectual and sub-textual connotations of BBC's adaption Sherlock, which is based upon the fine works of Sir Arthur Conon Doyle.
That's what we like to think of ourselves, anyway.

In reality, we spend most of our time crying and staring lifelessly in the dark as we rock back and forth, clutching the desperate hope that there will be more seasons. We write fanfiction constantly, then cry, watch the show for the 276th time and then cry some more. We have dominated the social media platform 'Tumblr' with no less than 12 episodes. Most people are scared of us.
What do you like to do in your free time?

Well, I'm a Sherlockian, so-

shellacking

A severe beating. Oftentimes well deserve. In American politics it happens when the party in power ignores the will of the people or pretends to know how to spend your money better than you do.
My administration really took a shellacking yesterday. Maybe Nancy Pelosi and I didn't communicate our policies clearly enough, or maybe we didn't do enough
