Viva la raza

Long live the people.

This was a slogan heavily used in the 1960's and 1970's in the movement to unionize migrant farm workers. Then used in the Chicano movement thereafter.

National Council of La Raza

A racist group that stole the name, and now lowers the reputation, of a legitimate civil rights group, La Raza. Consisting mainly of car loving graffitists, they hate and harass all non-mexicans.

They're fond of driving lowriders and spray painting phrases such as 'All Mighty (sic) Latin King' and 'For the Race Everything, For All Others, Nothing' on any vertical surface.
I used to have ordinary, polite Mexican neighbors, until National Council of La Raza gangsters moved in.

National Council of La Raza turned the shopping area into a crime scene recently.

Viva La Raza

Viva La Raza is a phrase, made famous, and commonly used by Eddie Guerrero. It means,”The Race Lives.”
People: wait till Eddie walks out
