Foundational Black Americans

Foundational Black Americans are those whose ancestors were brought to the United States through the Atlantic slave trade, prior to and during the nation's early development. Their history spans over 400 years and represents a distinct lineage and cultural identity. This designation establishes a necessary distinction between the unique heritage of Black Americans descended from American chattel slavery and that of more recent immigrant communities.
Foundational Black Americans created the blues, jazz, rock and roll, and hip hop & the heartbeat of American music.

Black-American

If you are black and your family has lived in America for so long that they don't know the country in Africa their ancestors originally came from, this is you. Black-Americans are often mistaken for African-Americans.These are two completely different things.
Black American: So I hear you're from Africa.
African: Yes
Black American: So am I!
African: Really?
BA: Yeah
African: What part?
BA: (silence) I don't know but I know my great-great-great-great grand mother moved here from somewhere in the east.

Foundational Black America

A group of black Americans who believe in an alternate-history, whereby they are descendants of slaves who rebelled in the 16th century and became "Natives" of a sort, integrating with Native American tribes (generally confused with tribes which would live in the region only centuries later). This alternate history is propagated by known, and self-professed, race baiter (and wannabe-cult-leader) Tariq Nasheed.
"I am not African-American, I an a Foundational Black American!"
"Sure Tariq, and aliens TOTALLY built the pyramids too, and also Jesus, and the original Hebrews, and the ancient Egyptians, and three Roman Emperors, and the ancient Moors were all black right?"

The Black American

The Black American also the African American who claims to be black indian because his ancestors married native American women during slavery and colonization of the Americas. A foreign individual with no true ancestral ties to the distinct homogeneous DNA of the copper colored American Indians who were anything but copper indians.
