Acronym: Willing Suspension of Disbelief.

Readers/watchers of fiction will accept unrealistic premises in a story as long as it is all self-consistent. The story should not break its own rules, and people should behave like people. "You can ask an audience to believe the impossible, but not the improbable."

C'mon, I'm OK with the cowboys riding pterodactyls and the breakdancing robots, but WSoD won't cover them walking into the cellar unarmed AGAIN.

WSOD 

White Screen Of Death. The white patina that forms on greenhouse walls and is very hard to remove. Caused by a combination of spraying plants with hard water, plant sap, bird poop, and insecticides. Can contribute to plant death by blocking sunlight and moisture.

John, you need to clean the glass in your tropical greenhouse a little more often, otherwise you'll get the WSOD!

WSoD 

On neopets, in late 2006 early 2007, there was the ToW plot. (Tale of Woe) when there were battledome challengers practically the whole site slowed to matrix speed. and every 2 or 3 pages you would get the error page where it says "error. page could not be found" which got really annoying on the boards. thus, that white page has been named WSoD or White Screen of Death/Doom.
