The practice, exercised almost exclusively by well-known, white, straight, cis men, of taking a creation (their own, a collaborative work, or another's) and attempting to improve upon it in a way that diminishes the quality of the work.
Named after Steven Moffat, who took over as the main writer of Doctor Who after Russel T. Davies left.
