Definition: a profession of absolute honesty from one person to another. It is a variation of the phrase, "I put that shit on everything that I love."

Origin: Unknown. However, the phrase is extremely popular in the Southeastern United States, particularly in Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisana. Since hot sauce (or pepper sauce) is so popular in these states, hot sauce manufacturer, Frank's Red Hot, uses it as their official slogan.

Variations:
"On God"
"On everything"
"Put that on something"
"I put that on my momma/grandmomma"
Me: Bro, I don't know what happened to your wallet.
You: I don't believe you. I think you're lying...
Me: I don't have it, serious. I PUT THAT SHIT ON EVERYTHING!

Current definition: Selling illegal drugs, often inside of abandoned buildings known as "trap houses." It has two meanings.

1. Selling drugs is a never-ending career because once a person has a felony drug conviction, it becomes difficult to earn legit money. They are "trapped."

2. The act of luring drug users to a shop. Using drugs is also a trap. Drug dealers are simply catching them.

Location of origin: Atlanta, Georgia (allegedly)

First mainstream use of the world: T.I.'s second studio album, Trap Muzik (2003). This was T.I.'s break-out album, which was so popular that it changed the sound of rap music and launched the rise of rap music in other southern regions, such as Miami, Memphis, and Houston. Trap Musik is often regarded as the original trap album.

Definition - Pookies and Ray-Rays are stereotypical ghetto-dwelling men. They lack ambition; they usually don't have a job or decent income. They probably have felony records for stupid crimes (domestic abuse, petty theft, selling weed, robbery, assault), drug addiction, and multiple children by several women. They have few employment prospects due to their inability to take control of their lives, mainly because they're poorly educated. They lack personal accountability for their problems and cannot respond to difficult circumstances. They are shamelessly low-class.

Who coined the phrase? Popular YouTube and podcast host Oshay Duke Jackson coined the term around 2018 as a funny way to describe low-life black men.

Origin - The term derives from the nicknames of famous movie characters of the same names; "Pookie," the comical crackhead from New Jack City (Chris Rock), and "Ray-Ray," the two-timing crook from South Central (Byron Minns). However, these nicknames were common in many black ghettos in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
"She spent her best year weaving and gelling. Now, she has multiple children by different Pookies and Ray-Rays, but wonders why no good man wants to marry her."
