androgynous zone
an (often intermediate) state in one’s development where displays of either or neither gender-typical behaviour are made, bringing about a non-specific identity - ie an androgynous zone
note - may also be used in reference to the erotically sensitive areas (eg ears, neck, inner thigh) that all humans find arousing, regardless of gender slash orientation
