undertake

To overtake a vehicle on the wrong side. Dangerous, and illegal in many countries, especially Germany where Autobahn (motorway/freeway) laws are extremely strict. Favourite activity of audi man, usually at dangerous speed. Audi man will also cut you up afterwards.
EG, in the UK where one drives on the left and overtakes on the right, passing on the left is undertaking.

cut up

Simalar to cut in, cut off. To drive in a manner that disrupts someone else, e.g to pull in to another lane of a road and force someone already in that lane to brake harshly to avoid a crash.
I was cut up AGAIN by audi man on the M1 last sunday.

Inner London motorway system planned in the 1970s but never built (hence the horrendous jams today). Term can be used for any worthwhile government project that never materialises, such as the often touted "Birmingham underground" system.
The government will never build an underground system in Birmingham. It will be just like the London Box. Maybe there was a deal in the 1960s that Birmingham will get reasonable roads and London will get reasonable trains.

motorway

Share definition
Large, dual carriageway road with special status (in UK, Ireland, Australia). International equivalents: Interstate, Autobahn, autostrada. No stopping, u-turns, etc. Maximum speed limit (in UK) 70mph/110kph. In practice the police leave you alone up to 100mph/160kph. No speed cameras are allowed on ordinary motorways (eg no roadworks, or otherwise reduced speed limits). Due to poor planning and low government spending on all transport, UK motorways are notoriously congested (the busiest stretch or road in Europe, the M6 through Birmingham, has only 3 lanes each way).
Shall we take the motorway or the a-roads?
