A type of mystery that deliberately has no real answer.

Mostly used in horror for the purposes of making something that is meant to be incomprehensible to the readers.

"Just finished reading Asteroid 912-JST, I was disappointed that there wasn't an answer to what the asteroid was for in the end."

"Nah, don't go through the trouble of thinking about it. It was confirmed by the writer that it is a mystery honeypot."
