1. To move off in a rush; to hurry away.

2. To die.

Created from the idea, "go off and squat somewhere," from Latin ab-, "away from" + excoactus, "to sit down" + -ulus, a diminitive suffix + -atus, implying "to do."

make like a tree and leave 

To go, to leave. Used derogatively.

A pun on leaving, the process of shedding leaves that occurs in deciduous trees.
"Make like a tree and leave," the man shouted, pointing out the door.

lie like a rug 

To lie (tell a falsehood); to lie through one's teeth. A pun on lying down, as a rug does.
"Hide the cookies under the crib and lie like a rug," Binky whispered to Charlie as they heard their parents returning home.

crudhopper 

A mild profanity of unknown origin, though clearly related to crud. Also spelled crudhoppers.
"Crudhopper! I forgot my antennaphone!" Marvin exclaimed, dehiscing with anxiety.

(pron. foo-tak); One of three mild profanities invented at Dullen Studios© for the inhabitants of the Lost Lands in their first indie film, The Lost Ones. Its use has now broadened, and is commonly used in this general area.

Obviously, the word seems to have been modeled after fuck, whether purposefully or subconsciously, and may even incorporate the word foo' (fool).
