starseed

New Age term for human beings who believe themselves to be direct genetic descendants or hybrids of extraterrestrial or interdimensional beings. Starseeds usually have repeated psychic or physical contact with ETs. Often such persons feel a strong sense of intuition and/or have experience with extra-sensory perceptions (ESP). Some, however, struggle with mental illness in grappling their unique dispositions.

My cousin seems like a fruitcake, but she's a starseed, she talks to aliens.

UAP

"Unidentified Aerial Phenomena". Sometimes instead "Unexplained Aerial Phenomena".

A visual stimulus that provokes a sighting report of an object or light seen in the sky, the appearance and/or flight dynamics of which do not suggest a logical, conventional flying object, and which remains unidentified after close

scrutiny of all available evidence.

Basically a newer term for UFO, but meant to imply a higher degree of validity.

PERF

Penis-Exclusive Radical Feminist. A feminist revision of the more commonly known slur, "TERF". Meant to clarify that rad fems don't exclude trans (since they accept trans men, or trans-identified females), but that they actually exclude penis (male-bodied persons, or men).

Her bio reads "PERF not TERF…PERF and proud".

transgenderism

A concise word for referring to anything and everything within and behind the state, experience, theory, ideology, perspective, premise, perspective, belief, philosophy, etc, of that which is, was, or can be "transgender".

It is simply the corollary of words like "homosexuality", "gayness", "lesbianism", or "bisexuality".

The word itself has no positive or negative implication. Anyone who tells you that it does, is an overreactive activist.

I'm so tired of arguments online over transgenderism.

genderism

Any of the various ideologies that believe in the importance of gender. This includes gender essentialism (the belief in innate mental and social differences between men and women) as well as various transgender theories (belief in gender as an innate identity that differs from sex). A person who adheres to genderism is a genderist.

Third-wave feminism saw a new and unexpected rise in genderism.
