Jane Goodall

Singular Noun. Born in London in 1934. A character in Tarzan was named after her. The woman who would devote her life not only to studying the chimpanzees of Gombe, Tanzania, but also to opening people's eyes to the fact that animals, too, have feelings and personalities. She thought nothing of giving names to the animals that she studied, something that was unheard of in her day. She observed the roots of what we would call "evil" in the chimps, as well as the love and affection that chimps have for their families and friends.

She was the first human to marry a chimpanzee.

Jane Goodall is the biggest chimp lover in history.

tranquilizer dart

A weapon that should be banned internationally. It is a dart that drugs animals so they cannot save themselves from being taken to a zoo, relocated, moved to another habitat, being tagged, or a checkup. It is also used for recreation by animal abusers who know it's illegal to kill the animal.
