jumbotron

The HUGE display screen typically found at sporting events. It shows game/player stats, scores, replays, advertisements, etc to the crowd.
Jumbotron is actually a Sony trademark name, but the word is used to refer generically to any gigantastic LED screens like it.
At a basketball court, the jumbotron might be about 11 feet wide, but in a football stadium, it'll probably be more like 33 feet.

A guy who drives a cab.
This guy often doesn't speak much English, but he may have been a brain surgeon in his home country (Ukrania, Cambodia, Eritrea, pick one) so give him a little respect, especially if he drives like a total bad ass.
It's rude not to tip the cabbie, unless he almost gets you killed or doesn't give you an honest fare.

1. If you don't want to get on the subway with the hoi polloi and can't afford a chauffeur, you can always take a cab.

2. We spent all afternoon practicing cabs on the halfpipe.

Boondoggle

a business trip, often to an exotic destination, in which you do more relaxing/fun stuff than work
During my boondoggle in Honolulu, the company put me up in a mighty nice resort hotel. I came home with a great tan.

cheapass

A person who is not only cheap, but also foists his cheapness on others in irritating ways.
The dude who brings TWO PBRs to a BYOB party and then drinks six pilsners is a cheapass. This is probably the same guy who doesn't want to evenly split the bill at a restaurant because your food cost $33 and his only cost $30.

loser lot

the parking lot, or section of parking lot, that is farthest away from the driver's place of employment or other (for example: shopping) destination
the loser lot is where you park when all the good, aka close, spots have been taken

Employee: The worst part about being late for work was parking in the loser lot. I had to walk, like, a mile from my car to get to the building.

Shopper: Damn, this mall is crowded; No wonder we had to park in the loser lot!

Nickname for the highway (I-495) that encircles Washington DC through the surrounding states of Virginia and Maryland.

A defining feature of your DC-respective locale is whether it is inside or outside the beltway.

"Inside the beltway" can also refer generically to politics in the US capital city.
Person 1: I live in DC.
Person 2: No you don't. You live in Bethesda.
Person 1: Well, yeah, but it's inside the beltway.

Commuter 1: Traffic on the beltway sucked this morning.
Commuter 2: It always sucks. That's why I take the Metro.
