"The Black Hole" is a sad-clown rendition of Kubrick's "2001", simplifying the latter's rarefied metaphysics into simplistic Manichean notions of heaven and hell.

A rare beast. A very laid back, long haired rock-and-roll type with a paradoxical rightist leaning. Often libertarian, but committed more to law and order than appearance might suggest.

an act of unexpected, yet unusually intense vindictiveness or cruelty, intended more for its psychological effect rather than its actual damage. Derived from "The Big Lebowski". As proper noun, refers to the attacks of September 11th.

It's been harder to travel on airplanes since the big Marmot Drop of 2001.

adjective, descibing the genuine appreciation observed in a cultural artifact previously deemed enjoyable only as camp.

His heavy metal collection, once scorned as trite and overcommercial pablum, has now been reappropriated as a bironic acquiescence to the hormonal surges of youth.

Shatner 

A hypothetical deity or saint responsible for interpolating lesbian love scenes into art, foreign, and / or independent film. Usually Shatner is invoked by male spectators during a long, boring spell in a film featuring beautiful women.

Our prayers to Shatner were all for naught , for though it was intimated several times, Liv and Bibbi never got it on in Persona.
