TFO

Abbreviation for “Tactical Flight Officer”
Typically a police helicopter crew consists of a pilot and a tactical flight officer. The pilot is responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft and the TFO is responsible for the police mission on the ground.

The IR camera is an important tool used by the TFO.
