diskriminat

The thing along which you get discriminated. If you define a ranking of people along their body height, the body height is the diskriminat. Any ordering (ranking, continuous) requires something that specifies a less/more-relationship. For this relationship to be established, you need to specify something that can be compared. The thing that is used for comparison is what we refer to as the diskriminat.

Note: discrimination in a mathematical sense is close to the meaning of "ability to distinguish" while it does NOT imply that any class or group is treated better or worse as a result of being discriminated.

What was used to establish this ranking?
The diskriminat is the performance measured as the duration it took them to swim across the lake.

Spühlhörweite

Noun, to be in someone's Spühlhörweite - you hear things from that person which you'r rather not want to hear. Can be used for actual sounds (like a toilet flush, fart, sexual moaning, ...) OR, and this is probably the main benefit of this word, for information you'd rather not want to know about (see examples below).

Any ideas for more examples are welcome!

Example 1
"I'm currently plagued with diarrhea"
"Sh.. you are in my Spühlhörweite" or "Now you are entering my Spühlhörweite"

When your relatives or bff have sex next door and you can hear them
"These guys having sex in my Spühlhörweite... :-("
