Catch a skeg

Get a look, spot, see, glance.

"If you catch a skeg at the safe's combination, be sure to let me know."

The house or place where a cutter lives. Has a positive connotation as a nice or decent place.

Aye, my new case is a cozy two story townhouse in a nice middle-class burg.

"That berk is one canny blood, he figured out that Rubik's cube in under a minute!"

Canny by Zed Numar July 24, 2021

A term for a blood in heavy armour. This word is particularly awful to those sick of puns about canned food.

"Listen, can, you may wear enough body armour to look like a tin of sardines, but it won't help you if you get run over by my Escalade."

The expression of cluelessness which newcomers to huge cities always exhibit.

"He's took a bus from a burg in Iowa to West Los Angeles and ended up cagestruck by everything he saw in the big city."

A native or resident of a huge city.

"Watch out for the Cager, city-slickers can't be trusted."

Cager by Zed Numar July 22, 2021

A common nickname for the city, used by the locals. It's derived from "birdcage", so it's a pretty harsh judgement on the place.

"You're not in the sticks, rube, this is the Cage, the urban sprawl is a jungle, so your thrive or you die."
