Responsibility

Something some people prefer to leave to other people.
Anybody who would gladly help another person destroy their life, even if they are a family member, is not a friend but an enemy. While the person who ends up with a wreck will have to take (and get stuck with) all responsibility for all of it, that doesn't mean nobody else tried to fuck with lives and bring nothing but drama and adversity into somebody else's world.

Asshole next door

The asshole neighbor you get when you try to turn an asshole into a boy next door.
A few people tried to tame the guy like he was a playful dog or a racehorse, but he didn't have the same kind of relationship even some of the more unruly, wilder horses had with people. The more they tried, the more they met the asshole next door.

Loner streak

Someone who hates being alone doesn't have a loner/independent/freedom loving streak, it's either rejection by others that results in their being alone, or their peers aren't going to keep putting up with their bullshit (or both), depending on the person.
The girl wasnt really a rebellious, freedom loving, independent loner like she wanted people to think. People that actually knew her knew that she hated being alone and was needy of other people around her, though they were fine without her, but she wanted to fit in with her group like a chameleon/reptile by pretending to be fine without them around, so she assumed the freedom loving, independent, loner streak image (defense), since it had seemed believable enough when most people asked or investigated her true nature. In life, she actually had people who broke rules locked up or suspended, which was the opposite of rebellious, and was about as pro-authority/hierarchy as anybody could get. With the loner streak image, she could look like a friend to people on all sides to continue playing all sides.

A few people tried to tame the guy like he was a playful dog or a racehorse, but he didn't have the same kind of relationship even some of the more unruly, wilder horses had with people. The more they tried (to tame, overcome, or change him), the more they met the asshole next door.
The tripe was spicy.
Tripe by Solid Mantis May 17, 2020
Guy- Who's the asshole now?
Other guy- The same one that was already the asshole, me. I'm the same asshole I've always been.

Some of the people trying to accuse the guy of being a womanizer didn't know he had been celibate for almost a decade (the way he had spent most of his life). He didn't think he was a priest, or cleaner/better than anybody else, it was just the way he lived, the same way people who decide live the opposite life live the opposite life. He didn't think their accusations made a lot of sense.
