No matter what he/she said about thinking the guy was smart enough/good enough, it was evident that he/she didn't really think the guy was smart enough/good enough/qualified enough to figure a few things out.

Get the Smart mug. What the media doesn't tell you when talking about all the horror stories on the coronavirus is that though over 3,000 people is a lot when you've lost a loved one, there's still over a billion people that lived on in China. Instead, all you hear about is how people should worry more than they are, that they should take more caution, but that they shouldn't panic, and that they should remain calm, which is all contradictory.
The misinformation about the coronavirus and deaths is not all coming from China, it's on the news in the united states.

Get the Misinformation mug.The cop wasn't getting any respect, so he tried to start heavier handed policies to fuck with people more and get their attention, since he thought nobody could get hit with a heavier hand and keep going. He thought that way because he was a joke.

Get the Heavier handed mug.A way to get people to focus on something else, such as when somebody wants to take people's attention away from similarities between their own country and a near-dictatorship and distract them with a story about a country overseas somewhere.
The girl told a story about Belarus, which despite her description of the country as being a near-dictatorship, was one of the few countries that wasn't on a lockdown at this time. It was a good diversion from events in her own country.

Get the Diversion mug.It seems that even when some of the people in Belarus seem to want lockdowns, dictatorship, and authoritarian leadership, they're not given it. Countries under lockdowns seem closer to near-dictatorships than Belarus at this time.

Get the Belarus mug.Getting laid off and trying to prepare for what's next in years ahead where the future doesn't look bright is one thing, but if you like working for Boeing, things are good, and leaving your job is voluntary, what would make you want to leave? Having a job at a time when not everybody does seems like something you wouldn't want to trade for another opportunity.
People will fly and travel again some day, the Boeing buyout is taking place pretty quick since travel slowed.

Get the Boeing buyout mug.A country that isn't going to fully become a dictatorship even if some of the people in Belarus start begging to have their sporting events and public gatherings canceled.
Belarusians- Please, we have had too many rights and laughed about the coronavirus too long, now please take our social lives, we want to freak out over the coronavirus like everyone else, we want to take it beyond seriously like everyone else.
Belarusian leaders- We're not gonna do that, we're gonna keep everything more open than everybody else while they call us the dictators from their locked down, isolated countries. Try and laugh about that.
Belarusians- We're begging you, dont do this to us, please don't.
