A term that, before the 1980s, meant something that inspired awe. During and after the 80's, meant cool, wonderful, sexy, great, etc.
Prior to 1980s: "That was an awesome sunset." Or, "Our God is an awesome God. "
During and after the 1980s (though briefly replaced by gnarly, epic, etc): "That is an awesome outfit you've got on!" Or, "Where did you get those awesome shoes? "

They also extort patients who need medicine for life-saving purposes into paying huge sums of money at an outrageous markup.
Big Pharma increased the price of Epipens to over a thousand dollars, but they cost only two bucks to make.
