Acronym for Before I Forget. A useful pretext to use when messaging someone with information that you want someone to know but are afraid you will forget it if you do not share it then and there with the relevant person. Useful strategy used by those with attention deficits.

(Message to partner, house mate etc).

BIF. I put a load of washing in the clothes washer but had to leave before it finished. Can you please put it in the dryer for me.

Australian/ Brittish/ USA slang for the cringy and awkward sense felt when one's name is forgotten by someone you are trying to ingratiate yourself with.

It was really AUKUS when President Biden forgot the name of that fella down under.
